Small clump or cluster; height to 9 cm tall; pileus: 3.2 cm diam. campanulate with margin curved under and fringed with a narrow torn white edge, central umbo sharply conical. Colour mid fawn-brown and covered with shining jelly, colour even, but a pattern of radial irregular grooves apparent on the surface. Flesh pale fawn, stained brown at umbo; stipe: 3-4 mm at gills, translucent pale pinkish above superior veil trace, slippery white with a slight trace of pink below, shape tapering upwards . Flesh pink-lavender near gills, fawn or pale ochre at foot, centre to hollow; gills: adnexed or slightly adnate and sinuate, crowded, long and short, pinkish with a covering layer of red brown spores.
