Oak plantation; Clumps joined at base, height up to 10 cm, diam. up to 5.5 cm, pileus: convex umbonate with margin turned under, later opening flatter and becoming radially split. Surface fawnish, silky shining, radially fibrillose, with raised fluffy scales in centre and with traces of a circular cobweb or veil about 7mm in from margin. Margin with a torn white edge. Flesh white, very thin except over stipe, distinct from stipe, stipe: 8mm at top, whitish or dirty white with some longit. slits in centre. White tomentum binding the oak litter at the base, gills: adnexed, warm brownish, long and short, spores: print reddish brown
