Public Note:
N. solandri remnant; Singly and small clumps, height 7 cm; pileus: 5 cm diam. convex umbonate (broadly so). Pale lilac overlaid by small orange radiating scaly fibrils. Orange strong at umbo, scales becoming more scattered outwards. In some the scales form a kind of ring near the margin as in L.H. drawing. Flesh whitish under the skin, thick in centre, very thin near the margin; stipe: 8 mm at gills, tapering upwards, semibulbous at base. Lilac striate above, fawnish pale stiate below the veil traces, and with some loose orange fibrils, whitish tomentum clothes the bulb. Flesh fibrous, lilac tinted at the top esp. otherwise whitish. Tending to break down in centre; gills: sinuate, pale lilac covered by yellow brown spore dust, deep, sinuate margin, long and short, fairy crowded; spores: print orange brown, 8.5 - 9 µ x 5 µ, slim oval, rough wall with very fine granulations.
