Public Note:
Silver beech with podocarps; Same species as PDD 86302; height: up to 7 cm, diam: up to 5 cm; pileus: plano-convex, somewhat irregularly shaped, surface moist but not sticky, salmon pink, coloured evenly, matt. Surface covered with raised radiating "fur: also coloured salmon pink but tending to be paler and fawner than the general surface (proabably the effect of drying). Flesh very thin, whitish, distinct from stipe; stipe: up to 1 cm at gills, fibrous and tough, white shiny surface with raised white or brownish cottony scales. Scales larger and more conspicuous near the top, fading to a few loose longitudinal fibrils at the base, shape about equal but variable, flesh white and fibrous, split in the centre, flesh lining the slit tinted salmon pink; gills: sinuate, deep, with frilled margin and crumpled surface, long and short, moderately crowded. Yellow-brown colour; spores: print yellow brown. 13 - 14.5 µ x 8.5 µ. Rough walled.
