Specimen notes
Public Note:
cap very gelatinised. Cheilo anterl-like. 4-spored. No pleuro. No awl-shaped cystidia seen. spores length=5.8–6.6µm (µ=6.2, σ=0.33), width=3.7–4.8µm (µ=4.1, σ=0.38), Q=1.4–1.7µm (µ=1.51, σ=0.15), n=7. Taylors measurements from the print are perhaps better. Note that Stevenson shows the type with club-shaped cystidia with small apical diverticulae. Horak says awl-shaped, and spores inamyloid, so type needs re-examination (and check for amyloid spores and hairs at stem base). There is a pencil addition of awl-shaped cystidia for this collection but they are not present. This collection is described as having a very slimy stem, not noted in the protologue of M. primulina. This is Mycena subviscosa. Were spores amyloid?
