Public Note:
on soil and dead grass, with prominent veil and poorly developed ring, 4-spored, pleurocystidia occasional and vesiculose, but with clear germ-pore 10x6 consistently, pore 1.25um, taste strongly farinaceous but mild. Cheilocystidia vesiculose with short neck. Cap fulvous when fresh to pale ochraceous 4-9cm diam. Hygrophanous. This has the large stature and habit of molesta but that not hygrophanous. Spores here are marginal between two species. Descriptions of differences in cystidia between two species seem confused, eg text of B&K is clear but drawings show little difference.
