Specimen notes
Public Note:
This is material from Hobart collected by Rodway in Jan. 1884. It is originally det by Massee as Secotium gunnii (now Descolea gunnii). Then later confirmed by Cunningham. So this is most definitely Cunningham's concept of this species, the only specimsn in PDD determinded by him, and it is clearly secotioid, without lamellae. There is a pencil annotation by Horak 3/1/69 as Thaxterogaster sp. Horak is correct and this represents a sequestrate Cortinarius fide spores and cutis. Micro details are required for the type in Kew.
