Specimen notes
Public Note:
18th Fungal Foray of New Zealand; Numerous perithecia, excellent material. Warty areas on some perithecia are less prominent. On most perithecia the ostiolar area is very inconspicuous, but note ostioles on some perithecia in photo #2. Some perithecia exhibit a dematiaceous seta emerging from the warty areas although this feature is not always obvious. The collection was made at Eves Valley Scenic Reserve, a 15 minute drive from the foray headquarters at the Teapot Valley Christian Camp on Teapot Valley Road \endash vegetation a mix of totora, beech and many other plants along several small streams.
