The frbs and photo are orange not "dark orange then blood-red, base slightly white villousand" [Corner], or 'bright orange] [Petersen] so I must assume Clive meant var. perscina. The trama is clamped, somewhat thick-walled, with fine granular encrustation. 4-spored, globose. Sequencing places near (not the same as) C. corallinorosacea
