spore print white. (2)-4 spored, spores with distinct plage 10 x 6.7um . Cheilocystidia with crystals, thin-walled, pleurocystidia v. sparse, stem grey/white. taset/smell not distinctive - floury. Cheilocystidia septate but without median spot. Flesh in stem white. Not hygrophanous. This sensu FAN4 = M. cinerascens. New record for NZ. Clearly an introduction in this highly modified habitat. From the BMSFRD about 10% of records appear in late winter/early spring february/april/may corresponding to august/september/october here. Reported to MAF 2/07/2010
