Public Note:
loc needs confirming with Helen as same location as 8867 collection. Cap extremely mucilaginous and F to Buff. cap flesh flashing red/pink with NH4OH pellicle and flesh instantly grey with KOH. Stem with glandulae at apex and reticulate below, tapering towards base, externally flushed red/brown at base. Pores H slightly decurrent. Flesh all chrome yellow, browing in stem base with exposure.McNabb keys to S. granulatus but that with different colouring. Kuo on web (http://www.bluewillowpages.com/mushroomexpert/suillus.html) also keys to granulatus and has photos similar.
