cap hyphae filamentous, spores smooth, cheilocystidia capitate. I've often wondered why a fungus that is so common in Europe (T. hiemalis/furfuracea) doesn't have more records from NZ urban habitats. So, it is clearly here - but not common. Probably another wood chip invader like S. aurantiaca. Massee recorded furfuracea but no material exists. I see no reason to disbelieve the record even without material. To EH 2012
