cutcicle with long thick-walled cystidia. BFF6 H. petalodes. Size, colour, cap cystidia make this close to H. petalodes except that on ground or wood chips in N. hemisphere. H. metuloidea would be nearest named but that smaller. Spores length=6.2–7.7µm (µ=6.9, σ=0.40), width=4.2–5.6µm (µ=4.7, σ=0.32), Q=1.3–1.6µm (µ=1.48, σ=0.09), n=20
