Public Note:
Cap to 2cm, glutinous, small squamules embedded in slime, stem to 5mm x 3cm buff to fawn. Young with partial veil, tufted. Stem squarrose below veil attachment and smooth above. Taste not bitter. Pleuro and chrysocystidia present. Chrysocystidia ampulliform 17x8um. Spores smooth, ellispoid, pale brown, 7um x 5 with germ pore. Growing up between tarmac and building wall. NM2=limonella, FAN4=limonella (P. squarrosoides seems near but has smaller spores, redder colours and stronger smell). Arora gives P. terestris which in description and photo seems the nearest. See 9518 for discussion of identification. This does look like Egon's pic of P. squarrusoides. See image in FMv8-n4 has darker cap scales.
