Pileus 5-11cm. Stipe to 5cm x 1.5cm. Annulus descending. KOH negative. 4-spored, No pore, length=7.8–10.4µm (µ=8.5, σ=0.59), width=4.8–5.7µm (µ=5.2, σ=0.23), Q=1.5–1.9µm (µ=1.64, σ=0.11), n=20. Pileus hyphae unclamped. Cheilos brown walled in NH4OH, obscure and catenation observed with difficulty. Herb material after 8 years covered in white mineral covering (which dissolves). Not A. cupreobrunneus. Section arvenses, not Agaricus. So why KOH -ve? Sequence says near A. subantarcticus?
