Specimen notes
Note:
[JAC] Sequence indicates this is not A. xantholepis (=A. brunneolus) but occupies a unique and basal position elsewhere in section minores near RQWK 2118. (FAN5 has only 24 species in minores, 8 in Kerrigan for NA with the comment that it is the least known group with many more species to be described.). The sequence is identical to PDD75279 as A. moellerianus (also a misid.) [PL] Grass in park. Cap convex, white, yellow or browning slowly from middle. Cap diam 45-55mm. Gills free, grey, then light pink, finally grey brown. Stipe 10mm diam x 25-30mm long, white, equal to swiollen at base. Ring small, down facing, smooth above, slightly floccose below. Spores subglobose 5.5 x 3.5, no germ pore. [JAC] length=5.0-5.8µm (µ=5.4, σ=0.20), width=3.6-4.4µm (µ=4.1, σ=0.24), Q=1.2-1.6µm (µ=1.33, σ=0.10), n=20. Cheilocystidia absent. Clamps absent. Shame no photo.
