Public Note:
Spores globose, faintly echinulate (cylindrical), 7-8um diam. Cap hyphae cylindrical, expanded, gelatinized, a cutis. Small lateral stipe. Cap to 4.5cm diam. fulvous when wet, drying yellowish-cream. Seems to have broadly vesiculose pleurocystidia and irregular (sometimes forked) lageniform cheilocystidia. Doesn' fit any of Egon's species but suspect the material is too old to see features properly. Maybe bad collection of C. variegatus.
