17th Fungal Foray of New Zealand; Perithecia large (ca. .5 mm), crowded, dull black, warty and spiny (some perithecia more spiny than others); ostiole a collapsed black hole in old perithecia; terminal caudae on ascospores quite \rquotestiff\lquote, ascus tip with a warty subapical globulus.
