Specimen notes
Public Note:
Conidia with 7-septa per turn and 6-8 coils. Filament diameter 8um, dark-brown. Conidia 53um diam., length 50 um (presenting always in cross-section so estimated).Conidiophores macronematous 90-150um, 3 um at base, distinctly thickening before narrowing to attachment, septate, not roughened at apex. Some hyphae in cult could be roughened? Near to macrosporum but that has more coils and is longer. Diameter way bigger than fuscosporum. Also near to maiorcensis but that is shorter and has rough aerial hyphae. Think is equivalent with JAC8505 but they have very different number of septa per turn. This observation devalues this as a morphological caharacter of value!ITS indicates equivalent to JAC8505 and nearest GenBank entry is cladosporium/venturia. [11-2011] proximity to Grelet root-tip metagenomic EM: HQ260280_Venturiaceae_USA_ex_Unspecified_Ericaceae_spp. 581
