Public Note:
The genus was sunk by Hughes but considered good since. Existing NZ is E. biseptata. Need to wait for papers. Conidia 24 x 11um, 3 septate, pale brown, middle cells darker, foot cell v. pale. Conidiogenous cells only at apex, 1-2 celled, each 10x4um. Conidiophores to 360um, Colonies hairy, effuse. Closest to pulchra from descriptions- see Wu (as Brachysporiella). B. pulchra has smaller conidia than guyana - except Hughes measurements don't really support that. Name in PDD needs synonimising into Brachysporiella pulchra? See Hol Jech paper on villosa for details. Also present with several other hyphos - Monotospora etc. See also JAC8437 for substrate with more material and slide with 8438. New to New Zealand.
