Specimen notes
Public Note:
We must assume Pat meant the genuine species and not Horak's iterpretation of Colenso material under this name. Horak indicated COLENSO b 71 is a Galerina, and "the commonest species in the genus in New Zealand', which would agree with his later acceptance of G. patagonica in New Zealand. This collection requires examination
J.A. Cooper, 2010
Public Note:
The pileipellis is a gelatinised cutis (not bolbitaceae). The lamellae have chrysocystidia as pleuro and cheilo, and they are yellow in water/melzers as well as KOH. Strophariaceae.
J.A. Cooper, July 2016
