This taxon, frequent in stagnant litter, has been referred to C.p. by others (Matsushima) but differs in appendage integrated not cellular. Probably not even congeneric with Camposporium. If immature, and eventually branches, then what about Anavirga? Look out for accompanying Phialocephala. sp. nov.?
