Specimen notes
Public Note:
The sequences say this is in psathyrellaceae but perhaps not a previously sampled (or described) genus. The fungus is small, dark brown and on wood, and superficially a Deconica or Kuehneromyces. Sem hollow, insiticious, without cystidia. It is difficult to understand why Egon selected Naucoria. Pileipellis a single layer of hymeniform cells over a partially gelatinised cutis, clamped. 4-spored. Cheilocystidia present but not dominant. A mixture of obpyriform cells and thin cylindrical. 4-spored. Spores pale brown, without germ pore, weakly dextrinoid, with short pointed apiculus, very minutely asperulate. Stipitipellis of parallel clamped hyphae, no caulocystidia. See also Egon's slide of ZT68-527 (as Alnicola) which is the same species. This is congeneric with JAC15088
