Specimen notes
Public Note:
Sequence attempt failed. Note that PDD68571 in the NZJB paper is listed as A. campestris var. floccipes cf. distinguished in the key by smaller stature, scaly streaked cap and bruising yellow, not red. A. campestris var. floccipes sensu stricto is now treated as A. moellerianus, also recorded in NZ, but no NZ material has the same sequence as Kerrigans. NZ material identified as A. moellerianus is section xanthodermatei and A. 'Isel Park' . A. moellerinaus has a band-like annulus on the stipe which is not present in this material. In addition the packet contains fruitbodies with very different spores. A mixed collection? I don't think anything conclusive can be said about this collection.
