Specimen notes
Public Note:
Not phylogenetically close to the type species of Hymenoscyphus; Hymenoscyphus here is being used in a very broad sense as a label of convenience - morphologically it fits a classical interpretation of Hymenoscyphus. Phylogenetically a sister to 'Phaeohelotium' epiphyllum, see Phaeohelotium phylogeny and Notes in Manaaki Whenua Datastore.
