Public Note:
Spores excluding apiculus length=11.8-15.6µm (µ=14.3, σ=1.10), width=8.5-11.0µm (µ=9.7, σ=0.80), Q=1.3-1.7µm (µ=1.47, σ=0.11), n=10. Mainly 2-spored. Spore size and reticulation do not seem good characters (from sequence data) for Timgrovea reticulatus sensu NZ. This material is similar to the less reticulate collections of that. One collection of that was associated with Eucalyptus and the remainder with tea-tree. Timgrovea reticulatus/macrospora were not discussed in the original description for D. giachinii, although T. ferruginea was.
