Public Note:
McNabb used the name L. echinospora for this introduced fungus. This specimen is cited in his revision. Other material was with oaks. L. echinospora is now generally treated as a synonym of L. tortilis. Later collections in this habitat have been L. pumila. This material is small and short-stiped for L. pumila. It agrees in every respect with L. tortilis.
