Specimen notes
Public Note:
This material was examined by Watling in his review of NZ species. See his notes. The material does appear to show the presence of a ring, easily rubbed off. Watling measured the spores as 8.5 x 5. The weight of evidence suggests this is A. praecox, common in NZ on wood chips in spring, and cinfirmed sequence-identical to European material.
