Specimen notes
Public Note:
Parris "solitary to gregarious, white to buff, to 4mm high x 3mm wide, globose then collapsing, bristlling with cystidia, especially in young specimens". [JAC] the packet contains a sawn branch on which just a single poorly preserved fruitbody was found. No spores or cystidia were observed in a mount. It is reasonable to assume from the description of fresh material this was indeed a Physlacria but no material remains and the identification as P. australiensis is not accepted. Berthier considered Corner's species to be close to P. inflata. NZ collections of a similarly described species have been referred to P. pseudotropica on the basis of macro/micro-moprhology
