Specimen notes
Public Note:
[J.D.] on ground under Blechnum procerum. Pileus 2-4cm excentric or waved, umbilicate with dark radial striations [waxy] like texture reddish brown. Stalk 3cm long flattened and twisted 0.5-1mm diam and darker brown than pileus with yellowish tinge at base. Gills white forked, decurrent, sometimes not veined at margin. [JAC] the gill colour and overall stature rule-out C. infundibuliformis = Craterellus tubaeformis, and that highly unlikely anyway. Gils on dried material are orange, like pdd103700. This isn't Cantharellus although I can't say for sure where it sits. The frbs are terestrial and one in the packet has binding soil otherwise I woud say Gerronema. Spores 9 x 6um inamyloid. Tentatively Gerronema.
