[RFRM] Russula ochraceospora sp. nov. Pileus 6-9.5cm, convex when young, becoming centrally depressed to infundibuliform at maturity, slightly viscid in wet conditions, otherwise dry, glbrous, innately fibrous under lens, deep vinaceous or dark ruby in centre, paling to greyish ruby towards margins, marging entire, non-pectinate. Lamellae adnate, crowded, moderately thick, simple or forked near stipe, to 10mm deep, deep cream to pallid ochraceous, not discoloured at maturity, lamellulae absent. Stipe 3-4.5cm long, more or less equal, 1-2cm diam. solid, dry, finely felted under lens, white pallid dull red, rose or pik, or tinged with those colours; flesh white unchanging on exposure to air. Spores print ochraceous when fresh. Taste lamellulae and context not distinctive. formalin on context n.r. Phenol on context rapidly deep vinaceous purple, FeSO4 on context salmon pink, KOH & HN4OH n.r. Habitat gregarious under leptoseprmum. Specimens Holotype PDD26535, PDD2694?, PDD29433 [JAC] PDD29433 became R. aucklandicae so it possible this is an early description of that species, or it represents R. macnabii.
