Public Note:
27-45 mm across. Dull brown with red veil patches, particularly orange towards center of disk. More nude when young. Non-hygrophanous Flesh: Creamy when old but younger specimens show greater lilac purple color in stipe, particular stipe apex . Purple colors are streaked with shiny cream tones Lamellae: Dusky grey-purple Stipe: 42-77 x 7-10 mm, clavate, cream with brown flecks of veil tissue on lower half, upper part has lilac tones and is smoother. Odour & taste: Wallpaper paste, odd smell
