50-62 mm across. Dark purple-black, matte, with velvety granulose cap. Flesh: Same color as cap, dark purple violet with slight speckles of lilac sheen. Cap context has paler lilac flesh but still predominantly dark Lamellae: Black purple with slight ochraceous spore tone Cortina colour: Puprple Stipe: 82-88 x 7-11 mm, clavate, matte, finely fibrilose, and streaked with black-purple velar material. Odour & taste: Nil
