35-57 mm across. Brown with white velar tufts on cap, particularly matted in center of disk Flesh: Creamy white, with pale tan tones at stipe apex Lamellae: Cream Cortina colour: Ochre or pale Stipe: 36-48 x 6-8 mm, small bulb at base of equal stipe; bulb can be abrupt or somewhat smoothly swollen ( 15-20 mm across), creamy with brown to ochre fibrils.
