Public Note:
20-37 mm across. Blackish brown with slight vinaceous tones, Has some color change in bands, but not hygrophanous Centre of disk has olive scurfy section that appears yellowish and when fresh Flesh: Lilac cream with streaks of lilac. Younger specimens brightly purple in flesh of stipe base (snapped, is pure purple). Lamellae: Bright purple when young, to purple brown in age. Appear to bruises purple Stipe: 28-53 x 7-11 mm, clavate, streaked creamy purple, staining purple where handled/bruised. Odour & taste: None detected Chemical test: darker brown/red
