Public Note:
Cap 7-33 mm. Conical-convex to plane, with broad, round, low umbo. Cap very viscid, margin deeply translucent striate. Rich ochre-brown to dull reddish brown, hygrophanous, fading to warm, pale beige to ochre-brown.
Gills dull tan-ochre.
Stipe 15-40x 2.5-5, curved, equal. Surface slightly viscid, whitish gray with lilac covering. Veil zone evanescent.
Odor indistinct or slightly of raw potates, taste mild, KOH negative.
