Cap 1.5-6.5 cm wide
Up to 1.9 cm deep.
Cap surface developing pits and wrinkles near attachment to wood in age.
Surface finely tufted, becoming matted-hairy tufted in age especially towards margin.
Leather brown to darker brown, whitish glaucous as it dries in age. Hymenium pallid glaucous-gray when young, darker to lilac-brown in age, darkening instantly to dark brown when touched in the slightest. Margin rounded, thick. Caps irregularly/asymmetrical-bell-shaped when young, highly irregular and wavy in age.
