Public Note:
Cap 33-67 mm wide. Convex to broadly convex to plane with very broad, low round umbo. Margin weakly lobed, sometiems slightly incurved. Surface smooth to rugose-rivulose /radially wrinkled, esp. in age. Extremely viscid, some fruitbodies drying to merely very most-slick in age. Brownish with olive-mustard tones when young, developing ochre-brown areas. Strongly hygrophanous, becoming dingy beige-yellow outwards from disc. Margin appendiculate, with small triangular hanging teeth of tufted partial veil fibrils. Gills finely attached to sinuate. Dingy grayish to dull medium brownish in age. Close, edges even. Stipe 40-75 x 4-15 mm thick. Straight, cylindrical, rather stout, firm. Light beige to whitish near apex. Entire surface dry, covered in tufted light brownish fibrils. Partial veil superior or sometimes more median, a dense band of fibrils adhering in a pointed-edged annulus. Flesh solid, whitish-gray, slightly marbled. In a large troop in moss under Nothofagus.
