Uncommon. on dead pohutukawa (Metrosideros excelsa) branch attached to living tree. Inner surface of apothecia pink, outer surface white, pruinose (a lichen term but one that may apply here equally). Observed during an Auckland Botanical Society field trip to Western Springs
