25-53 mm across, 29-39 mm high, demse, firm, thick periduim with lots of binding mycelium on lower side, 3-5 mm thick, whitish to pale yellow in cross section, darkening to orangish brown, gleba dark vinaceous black, marbeld with whitish to pale yellowish veins, odor tangy, earthy, taste indistinct.
