Cap 43-55 mm across, tacky (not viscid), felty on younger one, others rain battered, beige to whitish, gills adnexed to free, broad, creamy with slight brownish staining, stipe 45-63 mm long, 13-14 mm thick, with felty chevrons of veil fibrils to annular zone. Felsh thick off-white to beige, staining and aging tan. All parts very brittle. Odor and taste strongly farinaceous Habitat: Scattered in duff under cypress and broadleaf shrub
