11-22 mm across, 10-16 mm high, nearly globose to cushion-shaped, firm, rubbery, peridium smooth, ~ 1 mm thick, not staining, base with small central tuff of fibrils at attachmment point, gleba dense, columella a central whitish to translucent vein into central gleba, then radiating outward. no odor, taste mild. Habitat: Scattered on surface and under duff in beech forest [JAC:4/08/2023] near Kepler/Nelson
