Cap (18) 30-61 mm across, dry, scaly, stipe (21) 37-90 mm long, 10-14 mm thick, equal to tapered base, lower part fragile, fiberous overall, stuffed young, soon hollow. gills whitish when young, soon brown stained todingy brown in age. No odor, taste mild. [JAC:6/06/2023] dried material with dark gill edge.
