Public Note:
same location as 17442. Generally darker, browner caps. Ring pendant, dark un upper surface, non striate, with dark edge when viewed from underneath, Flesh not staining yellow in stipe base, but dscolouring browinsh on exposure (both unlike 17442). Cap scales distinctly felty, and not so in 17442. Gills grey to brown. Odour pleasaat, perhaps hint of aniseed. Stipe base bulbous. KOH +ve, AA -ve. If this is 'riccarton' then species is variable.
