Public Note:
Sooty mold. see 16932 for macro photos. This record for the loosely synnematous bristly growth seen on mutiple sooty mold samples and common here. Photos perhaps two things, one Capnocybe-like and the other simple condiophores on what looks like Euantennaria-like hyphae. LSU place this near Trichothallus niger (16947) and Lecophagus/Amphosoma in the orbiliaceae! Coupled to this is the observation of black disks in these colonies. Is that the orbilaceous taxon?
