Public Note:
Rusty spore deposit and branches with blue tips. Pancarribea?. Spores spiny, 4-spored. Length=9.1–10.8µm (µ=9.6, σ=0.52), width=5.8–7.4µm (µ=6.5, σ=0.38), Q=1.4–1.7µm (µ=1.48, σ=0.08), n=11. The spines do appear to be plate-like. This fits Ron's concept of zealandica but note he did not see blue tips. iNat 74025088. [JAC:5/10/2022]This not related to the type of P. zealandica (in a non Phaeoclavulina clade). It is related to P. viridis aith a very different morphology. I think we must trust the type sequence is correct and this is a sp. nov. It does not fit any other Petersen species.
