Note the type of Pleurophragmium is P. bicolor and accepted under synonymy with Dactylaria parvispora. That has a questionable sequence in the Myrmecridiaceae/Papulosaceae - Sordariomycetes. Maybe Pleurophragmium provides an earlier name for Myrmecridium. The type of Dactylaria is D. purpurella and that has an (unplaced?) sequence with Ochroconis humicola and the type of Ochroconis in the Sympoventuriaceae - Dothideomycetes. ie unrelated to Pleurophragmium. This holoblastic, determinate, percurrent proliferation, conidia hyaline 0-1 septate. Conidiophores to 300um. [JAC] all of which irrelevent because this is a Cylindtrichum (to be used over Reticulascus). It does not resolve adequately with ITS
