Specimen notes
Public Note:
[PdL] Uncommon, noted in a dark hole under Quercus cerris and Salix babylonica on margin of indigenous forest. Fruiting body colonial. Pileus flat, covered in brownish-grey granules (these shedding), gills 'chunky' and 'waxy', dull whitish-pink, stipe stout, fibrous, fibres loose. Voucher: P.J. de Lange 14211, T.J.P. de Lange & H. Cooker, PDD [JAC] Spores smooth amygdaliform. Sequence does not match anything. Probably North American - near inconsistently identified stuff from Canada. Re sequence confirms.
P.J. de Lange, J.A. Cooper
