Specimen notes
Public Note:
[PdL] Uncommon. Solitary. Emerging from thick moss weft (Dicranoloma fasciatum) under moderately dense canopy of rawiri (Kunzea linearis). Voucher: P.J. de Lange 14274 & T.J.P. de Lange, PDD [JAC] sequence says translucidum complex. Pileus convex, gill edge concolorous. Gills subfree. Spores 5(6) sided. Horak (couplet 49) differentiates angular from pentagogal/hexagonal but it doesn't work. So compare the spores of imbecille with gelatinosum etc. There is no real difference in the way they are drawn. This without CC. spores length=9.8–14.0µm (µ=11.6, σ=1.00), width=6.0–8.6µm (µ=7.5, σ=0.54), Q=1.3–1.9µm (µ=1.56, σ=0.15), n=20 (longest metric). Clamp connections definitely absent - most easily observed in stipe tissue. So not E. pluteimorphum.
