Public Note:
[CFS] Caps indistinctly defined, 10-20 mm wide, projecting 2-5 cm from substrate; 1-2 mm thick. 4-5 pores/mm. Leather brown to dark ochre brown, very obscurely zonate. Smoothish. Pores rounded, pinkish-brown, paler to whitish at extreme margin. Odor strong, sweetgrass-anise like. Similar to Hydnellum suaveolens. On hardwood branch.
